Sealed quotations are invited for and on behalf of the Governor of Kerala for the work of “GENERAL-Kerala House New Delhi-Refilling of Fire Extinguishers in Main Block, Additional Block and Cellar Area in Kerala House, New Delhi.-General Electrical Work.” The rates quoted should be for the completion of the work “GENERAL-Kerala House New Delhi-Refilling of Fire Extinguishers in Main Block, Additional Block and Cellar Area in Kerala House, New Delhi.-General Electrical Work” at the places mentioned below the schedule. The necessary superscription, the due date for the receipt of quotations, the date up to which the rates will have to remain firm for acceptance and the name and address of officer to whom the quotation is to be sent are noted below. Any quotation received after the time fixed on the due date is liable to be rejected. The maximum period required for completion of the work should also be mentioned. Quotations not stipulating period of firmness are liable to be rejected.

Drawings, Schedule of quantities, Specifications of work to be done and conditions of contract to be entered into can be seen in the Office of the undersigned on any working day during Office hours or purchased from the Office on payment of cost Rs per set. It shall be definitely understood that the Government do not accept any responsibility for the correctness or completeness of the schedule and that the schedule is liable to alteration by omissions, deductions, or additions at the discretion of the competent departmental Officer or as set forth in the conditions of contract. The tenderer will however base the quoted amount in the case of lump sum quotation, on the basis of those quantities etc.

The acceptance of the quotations will be subject to the following conditions:

1. Acceptance of quotation constitutes a concluded contract. Nevertheless, the successful tenderer must within a week/fortnight after the acceptance of his quotation furnish 5% of the amount of contract as security deposit and execute an Agreement at his own cost for the satisfactory fulfillment of the contract.

2. Withdrawal from the quotation after it is accepted or failure to complete the work within a specified time or according to specification will entail cancellation of the order and in such case execution of the work shall be made by alternate arrangement at the offerer’s expense. Any loss incurred thereby shall be payable by the defaulting offerer besides forfeitures of security deposit, if any, furnished. In such an event the Government also reserve the right to remove the defaulter’s name from the list of Government approved contractors/suppliers permanently or for a specified number of years.

3. No representation for the enhancement of rate once accepted will be considered

   (4) Any attempt on the part of tenderers or their agents to influence the officers concerned in their favour by personal canvassing will disqualify the tenderers.

   (5) The quotation may be for the entire or part execution of work. But the tenderers should be prepared to carry out such portion of work included in the quotation as may be allotted to them.

   (6) Special conditions, if any, printed on the quotation sheets of the tenderer or attached with the tender will not be applicable to the contract unless otherwise stated.

   (7) The agency may check the feasibility of each item of work at site before submitting the quotation. The payment shall be done in terms of actual work done. Any additions to quantities of above items shall also be charged at the quoted rate.

On behalf of the Governor of Kerala, The Assistant Executive Engineer I/C, PWD Engineering Sub Division-Kerala House, New Delhi invites sealed negotiable quotations for the following works :

1. Urgent repair of AHU Room in 3rd floor of Additional Block, Kerala House, New Delhi - Estimated cost  = Rs. 62,772.45

2. Providing storage cabinets for housekeeping wing using plywood Kerala House, New Delhi - Estimated cost  = Rs. 55,906.18

3. Replacement of dysfunctional sanitary/plumbing fittings in common washroom(first floor) in Main Block, Kerala House - Estimated cost  = Rs. 49,610.17

Total amount of works = Rs.1,68,288.80

Schedule of these work with detailed specifications and quantities will be dispersed from this office during working hours from 10:00AM on 04.09.2023 till 03:30PM on 18.09.2023. Quotations should be submitted in sealed covers or in e-mail with the name of work as subject on or before 04:00PM on 18.09.2023.  

Work shall be executed in lump-sum amount basis ie., the work should be completed satisfactorily within the agreed quoted amount as per the specification attached, “ Payment will be made based on the voucher according to the actual work done.” Each work shall be completed within 15 days from the date of issue of work order.

  The right of accepting or rejecting the quotations without assigning any reasons vests with the officer concerned.
