Travancore Palace is another heritage building owned by the Government of Kerala in New Delhi. The building was constructed in 1930.
Architect CG Bloomfield designed Travancore Palace, the official residence of the Maharaja of Travancore. The architectural layout is in a Neo-Classical style with a typical butterfly plan, which was unusual for the larger princely residences in New Delhi. The building has been categorized as a heritage building by the New Delhi Municipal Council. The building came under the ownership of Govt of Kerala after its formation after independence. The Government of Kerala has developed this heritage building into a cultural complex where art galleries, Amphi theatre, seminar halls, conference rooms, and exhibition areas to be functioned. An open amphitheatre in the heart of New Delhi equipped with technologically superior projection systems for a light and sound show at night with content mapped to the elevation of the building is a treat to the eye of the beholder
